It’s Fountain Pen Day today!
The first Fountain Pen Day was celebrated on November 2nd, 2012. It was created to help embrace, promote, and share the use of fountain pens in day-to-day life, as well to help revive handwriting as a whole.
The goal was to simply promote and get the news about Fountain Pen Day out there. The hope was that by using a grassroots, word-of-mouth marketing method, we will see a steady increase and noticeable spread of Fountain Pen Day influence and popularity in the years to come

Here are some ideas for celebrating the day!
- Write a letter to someone with your favourite fountain pen and ink. Under your signature you can write the pen & ink you used.
- Go through your stationery collection and use some of those you have saved for a special occasion. Surprise a friend with that vintage paper.
- Post on your favourite forum or blog by writing it out with your fountain pen. Then take a picture of it and post it. Again, under your signature write what pen & ink you used.
